What is Direct Primary Care? A More Personal Approach to Healthcare
Have you ever waited weeks for a doctor’s appointment, only to feel like the visit was over before you had time to ask all your questions?
For many people, healthcare has become complicated. Between insurance requirements, copays, deductibles, short appointments, and unexpected bills, simply getting primary care can feel like more work than it should.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) takes a different approach.
At Revital Glow Aesthetics & Wellness, our Direct Primary Care model is designed around a simple idea: healthcare should feel personal, accessible, and built around a real relationship with your provider.
No copays. No surprise bills. No insurance middlemen for your primary care visits.
Just comprehensive care designed around you.
What Is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care is a membership-based primary care model.
Instead of billing insurance for your primary care visits, you pay a simple monthly membership fee for access to your provider and the primary care services included in your membership.
Think of it as simplifying your relationship with your healthcare provider.
Rather than navigating insurance billing every time you need primary care, your membership gives you direct access to care.
At Revital Glow, this includes benefits such as:
Same-day or next-day appointments when available
Longer appointments, typically 30–60 minutes
Direct phone and text communication
Telemedicine visits
Transparent pricing
No copays for included primary care services
No insurance billing for your DPC visits
The goal is simple: help you get care when you need it without making you navigate a complicated system first.
What Does a Direct Primary Care Membership Include?
Direct Primary Care isn't just for your annual checkup. It's designed to become your home for many of your everyday healthcare needs.
Comprehensive Primary Care
Your membership can include care such as:
Annual wellness exams
Preventive screenings
Acute visits for illnesses, infections, and minor injuries
Medication management
Lifestyle and metabolic counseling
Ongoing management of chronic conditions
This can include conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, asthma, and other ongoing health concerns.
Having an established relationship with your provider also means your care doesn't have to start from scratch every time you walk through the door.
More Time With Your Provider
One of the biggest differences patients may notice with Direct Primary Care is time.
Traditional healthcare visits can sometimes feel rushed. You may have several questions or concerns but only a short amount of time to discuss them.
Our DPC appointments are typically 30–60 minutes, allowing more time to talk about what's going on, discuss your concerns, review your health history, and create a plan together.
That additional time can be especially valuable when managing chronic conditions or working toward long-term health goals.
Direct Access When You Need It
Not every health question needs to involve waiting days or weeks for an appointment.
Our Direct Primary Care members have access to:
Secure messaging
Phone and text communication
Telemedicine visits
Same-day or next-day appointments when available
That direct connection can make it easier to ask questions, follow up on treatment, discuss medications, or determine whether an in-person visit is necessary.
Who Is Direct Primary Care For?
DPC can work for many different types of patients, but it may be especially appealing to:
Individuals with high-deductible insurance plans
Small business owners
Self-employed professionals
People looking for more consistent primary care
Individuals who value longer appointments
People who want easier access to their healthcare provider
Patients looking for a more personalized healthcare experience
You don't necessarily need to be sick to benefit from having a primary care provider.
Preventive care and an ongoing relationship with your provider can be an important part of taking care of your health before a problem becomes more complicated.
How Much Does Direct Primary Care Cost?
We believe healthcare pricing should be easy to understand.
Direct Primary Care memberships at Revital Glow start at $99 per month.
There are no copays for included services and no hidden membership fees.
Instead of wondering what an insurance claim will eventually cost, you know your membership price upfront.
Does Direct Primary Care Replace Health Insurance?
No.
This is an important distinction.
Direct Primary Care is not health insurance and does not replace catastrophic medical coverage.
Your DPC membership covers the primary care services included in your membership, but you may still need insurance for healthcare outside our practice.
For example, insurance can still be used for outside services such as:
Specialists
Hospitalization
Emergency care
Imaging
Procedures or services outside your DPC membership
Many patients choose to pair Direct Primary Care with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan.
Revital Glow simply does not bill insurance for your Direct Primary Care visits.
What About Labs and Imaging?
If you need additional testing, we can help coordinate it.
We can order labs and imaging when medically appropriate, coordinate referrals when needed, and provide access to discounted cash-pay pricing where available.
If outside care is necessary, we'll help guide you through the next steps rather than leaving you to figure everything out on your own.
Why Choose Direct Primary Care at Revital Glow?
We created our DPC model around the kind of healthcare experience we believe patients deserve.
That means:
Longer appointment times
Direct communication with your provider
Easier access to care
Transparent pricing
Fewer unnecessary referrals when appropriate
A focus on prevention
Lifestyle and metabolic health support
A calm, elevated clinical experience
Most importantly, we want to build an ongoing relationship with our patients.
Healthcare shouldn't feel rushed or transactional.
You should have time to ask questions, understand your options, and feel like your provider actually knows you.
How Do I Join?
Getting started is simple:
Schedule a complimentary meet-and-greet
Review the membership details and ask questions
Enroll and begin your care
Membership is month-to-month unless otherwise specified.
Because our goal is to maintain longer appointments and direct access for members, DPC memberships are limited.
Is Direct Primary Care Right for You?
If you're tired of rushed appointments, complicated billing, or struggling to get in touch with your healthcare provider, Direct Primary Care may be worth considering.
It's a different way of approaching healthcare — one centered around time, accessibility, transparency, and a relationship between you and your provider.
