PRF stands for Platelet Rich Fibrin. Platelet-Rich Fibrin, or PRF, is a 100% natural injectable treatment made from your own blood. It’s often called a “natural filler” because it uses your body’s platelets, growth factors, and fibrin matrix to naturally plump, rejuvenate, and restore volume without synthetic products.
What is it
During the treatment, a small amount of your blood is drawn and spun at a low speed to concentrate the healing cells. To keep you comfortable, a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand, and injections are done gently and slowly. After the treatment, you may feel a little fullness, warmth, or tenderness, but this typically resolves within a day or two.
